About the Hall
- The ‘new’ village hall was opened in June 1978 and is located in the centre of the village opposite the church. Extended and improved, it was reopened in October 1999 in advance of the Millennium celebrations. The hall has been refreshed again during the Covid lockdowns and new for 2022 are the ladies toilets, they've been completely refitted and look fabulous!
- Central to many village events, such as coffee mornings, Toddlers, the annual Kingston Seymour Village Show and villagers pub nights, the hall has several spaces available for hire. The main hall is used by many village clubs and organisations and is ideal for activities such as fetes, wedding receptions, parties, dances, presentations etc. We have plenty of parking too. Additionally we accommodate the community Post Office each Tuesday morning.
- The village hall also includes a room with a skittle alley, with access to the bar, which is highly valued by Kingston Seymour residents and is used on a regular basis by our skittle teams. It is also available for hire either for skittles, or as a social space along with the rest of the hall. We are also very proud of our Beer Garden, built entirely by members of the village it lends a fantastic outside space. Perfect for summer barbecues! The licensed bar serves all areas of the hall and there is a commercial grade kitchen available.
- Please remember, the hall team is made up of volunteers, all of whom have families, jobs and other responsibilities. Please be kind and excuse us if we can't respond immediately.
